What a day!!!!
C, while trying to get into the car after service tonight, ran into the door and cut herself. I don't think she realized what she did until Craig pointed out she was bleeding all over the place. We got the bleeding to slow down and immediately headed toward the ER. By the time we got there, the bleeding had almost stopped - it wasn't gushing any more. It was about 7:30. The waiting room was full but overall it moved fairly fast, we were home by 10:45.

Here's the before picture. It had stopped the heavy bleeding by this point and C was staring to feel playful again and wanted to know what it looked it. Since there weren't any mirrors available, we took a picture for her. While she and I waited, Craig took the rest for dinner at DQ. C discovered that the planet app on my phone is really really cool - you can make the planets spin faster and can zoom in and can rotate them. Very fun stuff!!!

Here's our after picture. The Nurse Practitioner used glue to close the wound. It's kind of cool stuff! C's happy because she can't get it wet for 7 days, which means no showers. She prefers baths anyway. However, it does impede her sleeping habits. She likes to sleep on her left side. We'll have to experiment with "up" hair do's this week and curtail outside activity and no rough-housing with Dad. It will also slow down her learning to ride a bike.
Very fortunate, however, it was only 3 hours in the ER and just a minor cut - no nerve or other damage!!!
