Thanks for the well wishes Sonya!
This morning, C woke up and seemed to be doing good. She came in the bathroom right after my shower, so the bathroom was hot, and she started telling me all about her adventures last night and where all the blood went (a white shirt and a pink jacket) and how she was glad it didn't get in her mouth. She also kept looking into the mirror - checking out her cut. She asked me how big it was and I tried to describe it to her. She also told me she still had a headache so I gave her some Tylenol, as recommended.
I decided to put her hair up so it wouldn't get in the way. While I started that, C asked me when all fuzzies would go away. Fuzzies?? Well, she immediately then started to fall over. She never lost consciousness and I caught her. She told me she was seeing those fuzzies again and that her stomach didn't feel well. I'm guessing her tummy doesn't react well to tylenol when it's empty. Anyway, she never got sick and after 5 minutes was feeling better.
Next, she got dressed and tried to jump down the stairs. After a breakfast of PB toast, all the kids sat in the living room and watched PBS Kids and then started Race to Witch Mountain - C's favorite. I thought she was doing good and I started cleaning the kitchen. Well, she came in again and asked me when the fuzzies would stop.
So, we called the Dr and had an appointment this afternoon. The Dr checked her eyes again and heard her breathing and felt all over her face/neck/head. The conclusion? A mild concussion - everything looks fine and let her rest for a few days.
We stopped at DQ and got her her favorite mini blizzard and then all the kids stayed in the car while with Craig while I ran in for a few extras from Brookshire's. At dinner tonight, she was feeling a little better - laughing and playing. Maybe she just needed a little more food in her system.
So, C is going to get a week of movies and stories and lots and lots of rest. We'll celebrate Z's birthday trip to the Children's Museum when C's feeling better.
What a crazy 24 hours!
