Learning History together! All Boy!!!   New Look!

Catching up!

It's been quite a busy few weeks.  To start with, I haven't been feeling well.  That always seems to make things run slower and crazier!  I've finally reached the age where my blood sugar is getting harder and harder to control.  From here on out, I'm going to have to watch what I eat and how much.  On top of that, we've had allergies and a cold running through the house.  Crazy few weeks!  The washer and dryer are working great, though!!!  Other things we've done........ Fishing at Grandpa's We decided that since Z was sick on Grandpa's birthday, we really needed to get up there and visit.  So, was headed out  Friday a week ago.  It was a nice evening and the fish were biting like crazy.  Craig didn't even get a chance to thrown his line out.  He spent the evening going from one child to the next helping them take their fish off and generally throwing it back.  Several swallowed the hook and weren't saveable. ...

Happy Mother's Day!

For the last several years, we have priced appliances and then put off purchasing a new washer and dryer because 1) the old ones were still working and 2) other applicances broke. Last week, my dryer decided it didn't want to work anymore.  I guess 13 years and 2+ loads a day for 5 years got to be too much.  We narrowed the problem down to an overload circuit on the motor.  Unfortunately, the motor pieces aren't sold seperately.  The entire motor, which was available, one of the only replacement pieces still being sold, was a much as a new, plain jane dryer.  We figured out that we could limp the machine along by drying in shifts - meaning run the dryer until it stops and then letting it cool off and re-running with anything not dry.  Today, we decided to stop by Lowes and Home Depot, to start pricing a new one.  We knew that this "patch" wasn't going to make it until Thanksgiving, the day we t...

Children's Museum - again!

On Saturday, we visited the local children's museum, again.  We purchased a membership last year and have used it well!  This visit, Craig came with us.  The kids had fun showing him all their favorite things and he got to see a new exhibit.......    TRAIN TRACKS!!!!! A and Z had alot of fun riding the new ride.  It's a hand peddle which was hard for Z to get started, but once going, he did great!  We also had a visit from Wonder Girl (notice the stars on her skirt and the sleeves?  That's the difference) And, H found her stroller and had fun taking her baby for a walk.  Later, C and H cleaned up after a delicious lunch with cookies for dessert. Finally, our Knight in Shining Armour protected us from the Daddy monster!
