Air Power Expo 2016

We (again) had to change our travel plans so..... instead of going to the San Jacinto Battle Re-Enactment, we went to the Air Power Expo in Fort Worth.  It's N's  first air show to remember and it featured the Blue Angels!!  What a great first airshow! We had lots of fun looking at planes, peering into their gun ports, and walking through helicopters and transports. We even got to see some planes like the ones dad sees regularly.  We also got to walk under the Stratosphere and pretended to be para troopers. There were many planes that flew throughout the day and several para -shoot teams, including the Golden Knights.  However, they were all "unimpressive" to a little boy who was ready to leave 10 minutes after we got there.  We had moments of fun, but every chance he had, he asked to leave.  Until......................... Fort Worth Zoo

Twice a year, the Fort Worth Zoo has a homeschool day where admission is less than half off and they offer several indepth classes and have employees throughout the zoo answering questions about the animals and career information. This year, we finally made it back to the zoo.  On the way, I asked N  which animal he wanted to see. His answer was "Zebra's" - after much thought.  I then asked him if he wanted to see any other animals and he answered with great astonishment "I can see more than one?" Part of the gang headed toward the entrance.  This year, they brought along their adopted grandfather Mr. Randy.  According to him, it's his first visit to the Fort Worth Zoo, although his children and wife all remember frequent visits.
